I love hot sauce, but I guess that you can call me a bit of a wimp, as the hottest pepper I can handle is a jalapeno. My roommate recently went to the store and came back with tapatio. I was a bit skeptical as he can handle hotter peppers than I can. But he convinced me to give it a try, and well I love it. While it does have some heat, it's not unbearable and it has a great taste.

Probably my favorite all-purpose red sauce.

This is good, but it's a matter of preference. I like Tapatio better than Texas Pete or Tabasco or Cholula. They all pretty much do the same job though. This is not an exciting one to try because it is so ordinary. That being said, it's my favorite of this kind of sauce. Good on almost anything. The heat level is just right. The flavor is awesome. It's in a crowded field, so it won't blow you away, but I have tried pretty much all of them, and this is my favorite in the category!

    Not Hot, But Unique

You'Ll Know Tapatio When You Taste It. Of All The Mexican Pepper Sauces, Tapatio Is Probably Not Only The Most Prolific But Also The Most Unique. Spicier Than Cholula, But It'S Still Not Very Spicy. It'S Salty, Thick And The Flavor Is One You Won'T Forget. It'S Great On Pastas, Scrambles, Chili And Of Course Mexican Food.
