So Melinda'S Marketing Team May Have Got A Bit Carried Away With Calling This Xxxxtra Reserve - Implying Four X The Heat I Guess?? Of What, It'S Not Too Clear.. I Would Say It'S A Medium Heat At Best. The Vinegar Aroma Is A Bit Strong With This One, But The Sweetness Of The Carrots And Onions Help Keep The Vinegar At Bay. It'S One Of My Favorite Chunky Style, Sweet-Hot Sauces

Excellent Sauce
I Have Bought Many Brands Of Hot Sauce And I Find That Any Melinda'S Is My Favorite. Melinda'S Sauce Is Not The Hottest, But In My Opinion, It By Far Has The Best Flavor That I Have Tried So Far. I Like To Use This 4X Sauce To Cook With Since My Girlfriend Can'T Handle Very Hot Foods. I Find This Sauce Works The Best.

As Someone Else Mentioned, It'S Not An Extremely Hot Sauce, But What It Does Have Is Great Flavor. I Have Found That All Of The Melinda Brand Sauces That I'Ve Tried All Have Great Flavor. I Usually End Up Using About 2 Tablespoons Of This Sauce When Cooking Sauces To Serve About 3 People.
