Melinda's Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce Review:

Melinda’s Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce, 5oz.: You want fire? That’s easy. Anyone can strike a match, but few can strike a balance. A balance where heat and flavor find themselves on equal footing. At Melinda’s, we pride ourselves on striking that perfect balance in every sauce we make. Get ready to set your mouth on flavor.

Melinda’s Naga Jolokia. Naga is a close relative to our ghost pepper sauce, crafted with Naga Jolokia peppers from the state of Nagaland in India. It is hot, like over 1 million Scoville units hot. Made the Melinda’s way with whole, fresh ingredients and the best peppers on the planet. Perfect on practically everything serious Chileheads eat.

Ingredients: Habanero pepper mash (water, Habanero pepper), carrots, Naga Jolokia pepper, onions, lime juice, garlic, salt, vinegar, citric acid, xanthan gum.

    This Sauce Is Awesome

Posted by Michael on Jun 24th 2011

I Bought This Sauce As My Introduction To The Ghost Pepper. I Have To Say That The Sauce Has Amazing Flavor. It Is Absolutely Delicious, And Has A Taste Unlike Any Hot Sauce I Have Tried Before. You Get To Taste The Sauce For About 10 Seconds Before The Heat Kicks In And Builds For About 5 Minutes Before Peaking And Settling Into A Nice Burn. About The Heat, It Is Definatly Hot.... Not As Hot As Extract Sauces But Every Normal Person Who I Have Let Try The Sauce Has Been Overwhelmed By A Drop On The Tip Of Their Finger. It Is Quiet Hot But Not Unbearable And Quite Addictive. Im Going To Be Trying Some More Ghost Sauces Soon. Good Job Melinda.

Took One Bite And Thought, This Isn'T Too Hot, So I Put More On. This Is A Delayed Heat And It Will Kick You In The Backside. Great Flavor And Really Good Heat! Would Highly Recommend.

A Delicious Blend Of Fruits And Peppers, This Sauce Provides Both Heat And Great Flavor. I'Ll Recommend It And Mad Dog 357 Pure Ghost To Anyone Looking To Try A Jolokia Sauce For The First Time.

    Great!

This Sauce Isn'T Very Hot, But I Feel In Love With It!! It Tastes So Great! Now Every Time I Have A Sandwich Or Pizza I Keep The Bottle By My Side And Put 2 Or 3 Drops On Each Bite! Its Not So Strong You Cant Taste The Food You Are Eating But It Gives You That Spiciness We Crave!

Melinda'S Sauces Usually Aren'T Too Hot

Posted by Steve on Sep 18th 2010

I Had Melinda'S Private Reserve With A Xxxx Rating And The Red Savina One. I Loved Them But Could Drink Them Straight, Not Hot At All. That'S How I Thought This One Was Going To Be. I Had This Many Times, But As Usual Before Writing This Review I Took A Big Spoonful To Give You The Real Details. First Off Very Chunky And Seedy. The Burn Was Hot And Long. At First I Thought It Had A Strange Taste Like Fruity And Naga-Ish. But Then The Flavor And Heat Came Through And It Was Awesome. I Just Thought It Was Strange Because I'M Not Really Used To Naga Sauces, But After This I Will Be.

    It'S No Joke(Ia)

I Have Been Rabidly Exploring Hot Sauce--It'S A New Obsession. Trying To Find The Right Mix Of Heat And Flavor Has Been Interesting, And Cost Me Some Money. Right Now My Top Three Are El Yucateco'S Mayan Sauce, Baron'S West Indian Hot Sauce...And Now Melinda'S Naga Jolokia. I Smelled It First, As I Always Do With New Sauces, And Caught More Fruit Than Vinegar. Then I Tried It On Some Papa Gino'S Pizza. It'S Delicious And Provides A Good, Happy Burn. You Can Almost Taste Each Ingredient. I Prefer It Way Over Melinda'S Red Savina Sauce. Can'T Wait To Enliven Some Bland Fried Rice With It.

    Nice Hot Dipping Sauce

Posted by Kim Lawson on Jun 25th 2010

This Is Not A One Drop Spice Up Your Bowl Of Soup Sauce But It Had Damn Good Heat For Dipping Chicken Nuggets In. My Mouth Was Feeling It After. I Once Dumped Dave'S Temporary Insanity All Over A Bowl Of Pasta By Accident Thinking It Was Dinosaur Barbecue Hot Sauce And Finished It Just Because I Didn'T Want To Waste Some Good Hot Sauce And Use Dave'S Ultimate All The Time In Everything So I Think I Have An Ok Tolerance. I Think This Makes A Great Dipping Sauce. Just Don'T Expect It To Be A One Drop Wonder.
