Where's the heat? |

OK, this sauce has a good flavor, but it could use some of the heat that its big brothers have. The jalapeno flavor is good, but the heat level fell a little short. This would be an awesome sauce if it had some of the Sudden Deaths' heat. As it is, it will be consigned to the cooking shelf. Maybe mixing it with Sudden will make it a 5 pepper instead of the 3 pepper rating I gave it.

A Bit Disappointed |

I consider the ol’ basic jalapeno to be just that. If I am to enjoy it as a sauce it needs to have a bit of a kick and have some layered flavors. I didn’t get that from this one. I also like my “green” sauces to have a real fresh flavor. I didn’t get that either. I will use it as a cooking ingredient. I think there are other greens out there of higher quality.
