A unique and surprisingly delightful sauce!

This was a free gift with my order - I typically buy only potent superhot sauces above 500k Scovilles so it’s one I likely would not have tried otherwise. Still, as usual Cajohn’s does not disappoint! This is their most mild sauce I’ve had, but I could easily see it becoming a favorite anyway, especially when spiked with a little Black Mamba 6. It’s a smoky, vinegary sauce reminiscent of Central American cuisine, with a superb balance of flavors and smooth consistency that’s not too watery or chunky. As a veteran chilihead the heat is a bit lacking for my taste, but it would likely make a great table sauce for someone with a medium heat tolerance. Good stuff!

    Superb!

This is definitely one of my NEW favorite sauces. Not crazy hot... and great two peppers with the Ghost and Serrano... a light and natural smokyness and blended with the garlic and brown sugar... really fantastic flavors.

    Excellent Hotter Upgrade to Original

Posted by Matthew R. on Apr 24th 2019

I have been purchasing the Original QUETZALCOATL Hot Sauce for many years until they upgraded the heat to this new one which has all of the same great flavors as the original but with a hotter blend of the Ghost and Serranos. Both of those peppers carry thier own weight and are equally hot on thier own... however the blend is excellent! Very pleased.
